I want to apologize for the lack of posting the past month, life's kinda been Kayne 808's and Heartbreak like lately...I'm gettin through it. Got a lot of BIG plans for this summer...that will hopefully decide my future. Right now I got three weeks to push myself through so I can enjoy life once again. I promise I will be back with posts as soon as I can (early May). Who knows I might have a couple of surprise posts before then. But I am not leaving, the amount of love shown so far has been too much for me to give this blog up and plus I enjoy it as much as yall do.

Fly.Union
I found out about this group when I was on the Corporate blog (shoutout to Corporate they doin big things right now for Cincinnati check em out!) Coming out of Columbus, Ohio they might be Ohio's next thing to blow since Kid Cudi already put OH on tha scene as far as mainstream goes. The joint that caught my attention is called "Only One" that ish goes hard!

KING MAG Done?!
So apparently KING Mag is done...and set to have their last issue coming out on April 21 with Joe Budden's girlfriend Tahiry on the cover (if you dont know who she is peep my Wednesday March 4th "The Hills+ Urban=Harlem Heights" post and she's the main focus on that Joe Budden TV episode) anyways..How could this happen?? Ok this magazine wasn't the greatest as far as informational content...I'd say it was a highly watered down version of VIBE with the addition of Video Vixen photoshoots gracing the covers and main features of the magazine. But that is the exact reason why I and as well as other bought the damn mag. But a rep claims its due to a bad economy so i can't be mad at dat. Honestly I think the whole video girl thing is slowly phasing out..they will always exist yes..but as far as the whole gaining fame as a vixen then transitioning it to other sorts of media...well you probably...Wouldn't get far...

Certified "GOON"

-this word has many definitions, but in Florida & many hoods across tha country, a goon is a real nigga: ready 2 ride or die 4 his/hers, takes care of their fam, not scared of tha law or any other nigga, makin his/her own money legally or not, never snitches always follows tha street code.
I have nothing against Plies, matter of fact Plies is one of my favorite rappers but...What really is a "Goon" and Plies are you really a goon? If you have ever listened to a Plies song or saw a video he constantly boasts about his goon image. But If you have watched an interview of Plies you would also know the man talks like an educated man instead of the southern hoarse voice his uses on tracks.
So I have come to find out that not only did Plies attend college he attended a school 45 min away from me that I am very familiar with.

So is being certified a "Goon" mean attending college? I mean I have no problem with that being a factor in the description. Yet it seems highly hypocritcal that one could be a goon, who wears a black mask and robbed people but also attended college. And I'm not making that up, Im just repeating what he says in his music. Because like he says his music is the reflection of his hood and him. Now I am in no means bashing Plies because he attended college, I applaud him as one of the few rappers who did despite his success to complete it. Not that many people know that he attended college and the sad thing is that It being revealed publicly could hurt his career because it would question one of the main focuses of his music. But I feel like how much of a "Goon" was he really earlier in his life?
